First Launch
3. First Launch
After installation, open Revit and open any project document (not a family file).
Finding the BlenderSync ribbon tab
A BlenderSync tab will appear in the Revit ribbon. The tab contains three panels:
| Panel | Buttons |
|---|---|
| Settings | License, Beta, Setup, Report Issue, About |
| Sync | Changes, Selected, Capture |
| LiveSync | Start / Stop |
When the add-in loads successfully, the Revit status bar shows:
BlenderSync ready
If this message does not appear, see Troubleshooting.
What is available before activating a license
Several commands are always available, with no license required:
- License — open the License window to activate or manage your license
- Beta — open the Beta access window
- Report Issue — send a bug report to support
- About — view the add-in version and product links
The following commands are visually disabled until a valid license is active:
- Setup, Changes, Selected, Capture, Start, Stop
Session logs
Each time Revit starts, BlenderSync writes a new session log to:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\GoThereSoftware\BsyncRevit\Logs\
Log files are named bsync-revit-<date>-<time>-<session-id>.log. The three most recent session logs are kept; older ones are deleted automatically at startup.
